I once did 10 out of 13 games as a student, hoping to get back to traveling to more road games soon.
Year before last we made 12 of 13 football games...
missed the bowl because I don't have a passport. Never been on a plane..first time will most likely be this year for Western's basketball tourney in Vegas and our football game at Marshall the day after the Vegas tourney ends. So I either miss the tourney or fly. No way would I miss the Marshall game. Nothing other than a death or health problems.
Anyways I missed the bowl because we couldn't find a cruise that left and came back in time to watch the game. You don't need a passport if you leave and enter from the same port on the same ship.
That same year we also made every basketball game that did not interfere with a Western football game. So I believe we missed two home games. Watched Western play a basketball game in the Garden on Thanks Given night and drove from NY to Huntington getting there about 30 minutes before game time the next morning to watch Western upset Marshall. Honestly would have kicked myself in the butt if we missed that game....almost did because of heavy snow about 3/4 the way up the mountain in LA VALE Maryland. At one point we were just praying to make it off the mountain..alive
We did miss one road basketball game that year. My youngest son is a uk fan (don't know how I went wrong on that..friends influence) so before the season started I agreed to take him to see the Champions Classic ...uk vs Kansas and duke vs mich st in Indianapolis. So we missed the Minn. game
As a fan..most enjoyable season for me.
I'm totally different in person than on these boards (I think we all are) I'm so competitive in everything....I don't care what it is. I want to win. Even a freaking debate with a people I probably will never met. But if we did...
I'm fairly quiet and I'm also a nervous fan. I hate missing one second of game action...soon to be 57 and I don't have a problem running down or up steps (two at a time) to get to a restroom if it means I might miss one play.
I've sit with many home team fans (as a visitor) and always enjoyed that part of it...winning or losing. My football seats are Section 130 Row X the 3 right on the end and dead on the 50 yardline....
any visiting fan can stop by...I'll buy you a beer
basketball seats are 7 rows behind the visiting team bench seat 12 & 13
