Bengals Line on Monday, Bengals Game Plan on Wednesday and Bengals Roundtable on Thursday all on 700. Overkill much? How many ways can we discect last week's game or hear the story about how some special teamer made the squad?

From @NFLGameDay: #Bengals aren’t counting on AJ Green (hamstring) tonight. He wanted to go. Late last night, team stepped in and said no.

Thank god. Why the hell would they play him now? On top of that I'd sit down Eifert FOR SURE and probably also Dalton and Hill. Why would you risk playing those guys two more games? And it gives you a chance to see McCarron and Burkhead more.

Good.

Paul Dehner Jr. ‏@pauldehnerjr 6m6 minutes ago

So to review, tonight no A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, Vontaze Burfict, Clint Boling, Tyler Kroft. That will be a fairly talented inactive list.

Prediction: The Bengals are going to get (Tom) Savaged tonight.

Also, Green not happy with being shut down. Doesn't surprise me. The Bengals probably owe him some bonuses if he reaches 1000 yds, etc.

Y leave a TO on the board? Could have taken more TD shots had they called TO.

No Bengals fan expected him to actually make that kick.

How absolutely fitting.

I sure hope finding a kicker is one of the primary objectives this offseason.

You trade McCarron and lose a quality backup QB? not smart....

If the Bengals wanted to get value out of what they have on the roster currently (i.e. draft picks, etc..) they would trade Dalton, Green, or Eifert...or all 3 and rebuild. The problem with that scenario is it assumes the Bengals can draft properly, and recent history has shown that they can't.

Bengals could probably get at least 2 1st round picks for Green, probably 2 for Eifert and 1 for Dalton. If the Bengals were bold, they would go ahead and do the total rebuild now before these players lose value. I'd keep Bernard and Hill, as their trade value is negligible.

Bengals won't do this however...they only part with big names when they quit or have lost all their trade value.

That's what keeps them from breaking through into the upper echelon.

x2

It's nice to have a quality backup QB but when you have as many holes as the Bengals have and you have an aging roster you need to trade him if you can ge a 2nd rounder for him.

a backup qb is a luxury. i doubt they'd match when he hits the market, which should probably be soon. they'll probably suck balls again next year, might as well head into with a piece that'll play and develop more. but yeah, the drafting gets initial praise and then it's forgotten by the pundits by the time the next draft comes around. and they still insist the bengals brass keeps getting it done.

I don't know how public it is but the Bengals turned down a 2nd & 4th round pick for McCarron last year. I expect Hue to make a run at him. That said, he'd be my QB if I was in charge. Could be a star while the current QB definitely is not... I'd trade Dalton.

yeah, they certainly make decisions. why you so big on other aj? i don't think in the limited time we've seen him is enough to warrant him superior to faulton dalton. andy looks like a football player. mccarron looks like seth mcfarlane. that shouldn't necessarily settle a debate, but it is christmas

RE: Bengals 2016
If they turned that down for McCarron they're complete fools. He was a fifth round pick who's played less than 5 games in his career and my no means set the world on fire. He's been respectable in limited action but not nearly enough to warrant that kind of price tag.

Not to mention that Dalton has been a very durable QB. It's not like Pittsburgh where you know your QB is going to miss 2-4 games a year.

Hue Jackson overpaid for a Bengals QB once maybe he'll do it again but I think a Garapolo trade is their first option.
