I love robo cardinal at Ball State! What they wore against us in 2014 with the matte black finish was one of my favorites for alternates. OU has nice matte black ones with a simple stylish every game helmet. WMU's recent combos have not done much for me. And I won't even rank Toledo because we wear a different one for just about every game. Although the Blue lid with gold mask and gold rocket we featured against NIU and Kent last season went hard.
Normal helmets:
Ohio- white
UB- blue
NIU- black
Ball State- white
WMU- gold
EMU- grey
Miami- white
CMU- Maroon
Kent- navy
Akron- gold (not shiny)
BG- orange
Alternate-
Ball State- black
Ohio- black
UB- black
Akron- white
NIU- white
EMU- matte green
WMU- white
Kent- gold
Miami- shiny red
CMU- black
BG- white

Thankfully, the feather helmets at Miami appear to be dead. Our new ones are a big improvement, it looks like we'll be going with a 50/50 split between red and white. And I loved those special helmets from the Godaddy Bowl from a while back.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of the over the top helmets but I love NIU's with the chrome face mask. That paired with the black lid make it look awesome!

With the Broncos' helmet, when they make designs like that, they need to plan for the face mask. That horse's nose is always going to be covered. It's a edgy graphic, but all the functional stuff on the helmet (straps, air holes, ear holes, facemask) takes away from the design.

Good, interesting helmet for special occasions - an 'A' for effort, but...the stars are on the wrong edge on this side of the helmet. If they could have designed a 'left side' and 'right side' version of the decal so that the blue field with stars is oriented correctly on both sides of the helmet, that would have been a 'A+'

Though it does look odd this is actually correct, especially considering it's Military Appreciation day.
Army regulation 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia, the regulation states when authorized for application to the proper uniform, the U.S. flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that “the star field faces forward, or to the flag's own right.
