Louisville could surprise everyone & win the Atlantic. Louisville & Clemson make the CFP.

Prediction: FSU and Pitt.
Potential surprise teams: Louisville and VT.

Year after year the Coastal is the toughest division to pick in college football.

You say Syracuse won't put up big numbers which is preposterous under Babers. The offense will put up huge numbers, whether it will be enough to offset a defense which will also allow huge numbers is another story, but the offense will be more than capable. Eric Dungey will throw for 3,000 yards if he stays healthy.

While I don't doubt that Babers offense will be better than last years' (and eventually, much better), you should also keep in mind that ACC defenses are better than either MAC or Big XII defenses.

Couldnt you say the same thing about Fuente and the caliber of defenses that he put up big numbers against in the American? The same reason that VT fans are excited about Fuente is the same reason that SU fans are excited about Babers. Dont rain on our parade until its no longer a parade.

I pick Pittsburgh and Louisville. Pitt is almost a sure thing because it is in the weak division. Louisville needs a little luck to pull it off.

Atlantic: Clemson
Coastal: Pitt

Surprise teams: Wake and UVA make bowls. Duke and NC State don't.

Babers has never had as talented an offense as he has at Syracuse. One of the few reports we've gotten is that Babers was 'pleasantly surprised' with the athletes Syracuse had on offense.

Those are the numbers Syracuse QBs put about against the vaunted ACC defenses. Babers offense is going to do much better. Our defense is going to be the issue.
