RE: Calkins column on Ferguson
Good article.
Our WR corps is stronger this year than last. If Ferguson is anywhere close to Paxton, we'll have a great season. Defense sounds much improved as well.

Got to agree, that's why I'm saying 8+ wins.

Did that stop sign ever get a strong pass rush on ferguson?

Gotta admit i like his confidence. He sounds like a winner. I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

8 wins. Minimum.

The guy threw a ball 50-55 yards down the road and hit the stop sign he was aiming at.

Lynch was able to throw it that far and get it with in reach of the WR. But to be able to put it on such a small spot at such a distance was not lynch's strong point.

Ferguson has a strong ACCURATE arm. Has more touch on the long passes.

Did you see the 40 yarder PL threw against Old Miss? He put that thru a tire. They don't give out 1st round picks to guys with no accuracy. I mean, 28 td's to 4 int's. Come on, man.

I hope Riley comes in for a seamless transition. But there is no way we should expect him to be better than Paxton from game 1.

Did YOU see the Duke game? TE did a drag route across the field and was wide open. A pass out in front of him or even on the numbers he would have waltzed into endzone. But had to slow down and reach behind him to grab the pass and allowed defense to catch up.

You over-played your hand. You had most on here thinking you were a clueless poster, but this proves you're trolling. Because there is no way a serious sports fan would use one pass from 3 years ago in a rookie's first start to try to make a point.

I didn't read it that way at all.

This. ^^

I swear this dude sat in front of me during that game. He was about 4-11, 250lbs, bald, and from the first pass of the game, he was screaming (in a high pitch voice), to pull Lynch and that Fuente needs to play the senior.

I never wanted to strangle a fellow Tiger fan, until that day.

you have the right to doubt that he is that stupid, but I don't, I really think he's sincere.

Great article by Calkins. I am very excited to how Riley does in D1 competition and glad we are starting with 3 winnable games at home before rolling down to Oxford. First I've heard that Texas had offered Riley and we got him anyway.

Paxton was incredibly accurate. The one pass that stands out from the rest was last year's Double Flicker Deluxe (or whatever the he!! it ended up being labeled) against Bowling Green. That pass went over 60 yards in the air and hit Tevin Jones in stride.
