Somebody says he is greyshirting, but the rumor on the street he is indeed at camp this fall. Anyone know more on this situation?

I have seen him tweet that he was looking forward to camp just before it began. I heard the same thing on the street... that he was greyshirting... we have a huge log jam at RB at this point so there is no hurry to rush him into rotation if you don't have to... let him get some more strength in that injured leg and be 100% for next year...

Saw a picture of him at camp, but he is not listed on the roster. No idea what's happening.

Can you enlighten me a bit on this "grey shirting" they speak of... and if this is what is used when a player doesn't fill out the required minimum grade requirements and if this is what you mean by "compliance".

grey shirt is when you are offered a scholarship that will count against next years class and the player will postpone enrollment until the January semester. Usually done with players that are young for their grade, grade issues, or really want to come to the school but the position they are recruited at is full for that class. Ernsberger was a grey shirt that was young for his graduation year, but a scholarship opened up when a few fellow recruits didn't make it to campus. Ernsberger ended up enrolling in September and the rest is history.

sure can still redshirt.

Blue shirting is even crazier. Some of the bigger schools are doing that now. Its a promise of an offer after a certain amount of time in the program. But initially, you are walking on.

You still only get five years to play four unless NCAA grants a sixth due to injury.

I thought he was only in the class to inflate our rankings.
