These are the Sun Belt's ratings for the most important football programs in the history of college football (by ESPN):

#84 Appalachian State
#84 Georgia Southern
#89 Troy
#97 Arkansas State

Georgia State, Idaho, ULL, ULM, USA, NMSU, and Texas State are all tied at #101... which is basically last place.

I'd probably have ULL and ULM somewhere between #97 and #101, actually. Come on everybody... step it up and get some P5 wins and move up the ladder!!

Appears to be a recent history bias. I'm not a fan, but the Ivy's started the whole thing then the service academies, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ga Tech. Alabama's Rose Bowl win in 1926 "changed the South" and laid the foundation for the game's popularity today.

They put UGA at 9 just because of Herschel Walker and one national championship? What a joke.

Or maybe it's because they pull in close to 100k Walmart fans every week to their stadium along with a lot more eyeballs while generally have a winning record in the perceived strongest conference in the country....every year...

I know UGA is big but there's some teams ranked underneath them that should be higher.

LOL at newcomers Georgia Southern and App State being ranked higher than most of CUSA and MAC. Even a few AAC teams in there as well

Well a lot of SEC teams claim fake ones, I am sure uga has a few Lady Home Journal ones like Alabama has.

Names and conference obvsiously played a huge factor past 10. Miami and FSU should be above uga. GT should be a lot higher based on history as ARMY is 35.

WTF's Teams / complete BS ranking
Stanford / Iowa / Washington / Arkansas / Syracuse / Minnesota / Louisville / Washington State

If some of those teams were not in a P5 conference they would be a lot lower. Vandy / Wake / Duke / KY / NW / Syracuse / Minnesota / Maryland / NC State / Kansas
