Frazier getting a whole inning interview during the Sox game today. Promoting the SHOWDOWN.

The Sox announcers actually did some homework before interviewing him, so it was nice.

Today was NIU day at the game.

I was at the game and there was NIU stuff the entire game. Certain tickets had NIU hats included, the fan cam was sponsored by NIU, a couple ads for the Chi-Town Showdown on the scoreboard and NIU baseball facts mixed throughout. I also noticed an NIU table in the section just off home plate which was selling season football tickets.

I was there as well.

Football truck parked outside stadium, with several NIU tents.
Mission and Victor E outside pregame. Saw Victor E inside during game.
Several tables around the concourse with info on sports and schools... AND SCHEDULES AND POSTERS!!
Only one video promo for the Rockettes game. (Disappointed there weren't more video highlights between innings.)
NIU group that sang the national anthem was terrific.
An NIU grad actor threw out the first pitch.
The Sox-NIU hats are sweet.
Pretty decent turnout. Was talking to a Sox season ticket holder and she was impressed with the turnout of NIU fans.
People sitting around me didn't seem like football fans and lived in the city and were all talking talked about the game at Sox Park. maybe we'll have a better turnout than I think.

the sox park game turnout as great, mediocre or disappointing will be contingent on the weather and of course our record. However, a great record and bad weather won't cut it. Nov 9 is still early to get nice fall weather
