RE: Texas State Tidbits
Local Harley Davidson dealer donates a cycle to TXST. It will be used to bring the team onto the field this season then auctioned off at the annual Bobcat Bonanza later.

Teams captains for 2016 were voted on by the players

Sr QB Tyler Jones

Jr LB Gabe Loyd - JUCO transfer that joined the team in January (had most votes)

Jr TE Gabe Schrade - who started the spring as possibly 3rd string, will now start. Rep at SBC Media Days

Tyler Jones has officially been named the starting QB

Missouri transfer Eddie Printz named as QB 1A - speculation he will be used in certain formations and situations and is pressing Jones for PT.

One......more........time

Keff Ciardello

Senior WR Montreal Taylor has left the #TXST FB team. No word as to why he left but he left on his own, was not dismissed.

Team down to 89, I think.

Our program would have to sit out a few years.

If you need me, I'll be in the back pretending I have a college football team.

Yeah duh, another one of my infamous brain farts. He was at our Media day, though, and gave a helluva interview. That's probably what my unwired brain way thinking and got it mixed up on the download.

true, the leaders dont seem to have placed any kind of priority on it. on the other hand the school is reaching new heights in academic advances such as starting construction on a new 150 mil $ engineering research building and adding new phd level programs. may not happen in my lifetime but if they do restart it I imagine it will be a well thought effort.

As an added Bonus, by the time your well thought out program retakes the field, you may qualify for a Season Ticket AARP Discount . . . .

I wont have anything to do with AARP after they lied to seniors about obamacare to get their support. already qualify for the senior discount tho. tough to sit back and watch just about every cheesey school start up a football program tho. I'm sure they will do it right albeit at a snail's pace.
