Todd Marinovich, you know, one of 2 clueless QB's taken in the first round round before Brett Favor, found passed out nekkid in someone's backyard...
While no one takes delight in his constant battle with drugs (wish him well and god speed)....one can only remember how his dad prepared him for athletic "success" at a young age with special weight training and a special diet, abstaining from all "toxic foods"..
This parental control training was considered a great success when he was a first round selection out of SoCal, but there had already been signs of drug troubles while a Trojan, which only escalated after draft day.
So....put this down firmly under "cautionary tale"....and now see how an imperfect but loving dad like Irvin Favre had it right...

....umm, Favre is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict...Guy is an Alcoholic....and Collier is a recovering drug addict......learn more about your "hero's"...post less about what you "think"......and now here come the excuses and more things will be said about what you people "think".....here they come now.....wait for it.....

Nobody from sports are MY heroes...and I "think" you're a poor "pot stirrer"
My "heroes" are the guy who saved the lady and her dog in the Louisiana floods....Sophie Scholl, a young German intellectual (damn those intellectuals) who defied Hitler and was hung as a traitor along with her brother...Lt. Charles Gatewood, who helped chase down Geronimo with his Indian scouts, while, of course, the Generals got all the credit...and the airmen who sacrificed their lives and their Douglas TDB Devastators at Midway in WWII, unleashing a futile attack that none-the-less kept the Japanese airplanes on their carriers, which were eventually destroyed..
The USM athletes you mentioned are mere imperfect mortals like us all (well, except for Donald J. Trump), and none of them had the unusual upbringing or a lifetime of drug dependency as poor Mr. Marinovich...
So, you're wrong again, as usual...

To bad common sense and logical thinking won't be responded to with a "you know, you're right". But you are.

so many forget what being a fan is all about vs. real heroism.....they're lost in translation....it's sad for them in the end...
