Todd Marinovich, you know, one of 2 clueless QB's taken in the first round round before Brett Favor, found passed out nekkid in someone's backyard...

While no one takes delight in his constant battle with drugs (wish him well and god speed)....one can only remember how his dad prepared him for athletic "success" at a young age with special weight training and a special diet, abstaining from all "toxic foods"..

This parental control training was considered a great success when he was a first round selection out of SoCal, but there had already been signs of drug troubles while a Trojan, which only escalated after draft day.

So....put this down firmly under "cautionary tale"....and now see how an imperfect but loving dad like Irvin Favre had it right...

we called him "Tiger" back in the day....

oh, the irony....

when one tries to engineer their 'child' (aka hollywood(), the miss can be disastrous....in almost every case it is regardless of success....

....only human.....very few are properly trained to handle success or failure....

its why the tele- stays on mute b/c it's nothing but moot....

...I saw a picture of him on the MSN front page when that story broke yesterday.....the guy is 47 but he looks 67....drugs are bad.

The USM athletes you mentioned are mere imperfect mortals like us all (well, except for Donald J. Trump), and none of them had the unusual upbringing or a lifetime of drug dependency as poor Mr. Marinovich...
