RE: Vegas Lines For Week 1 (Including FCS Matchups)
No disrespect to App State, but TN is loaded this year on both sides of the ball. I'm no TN fan, but don't be disappointed if TN blows out App State by 4-5 TD's.

Is there something going on at Louisiana that i'm not aware of? 20 point home dogs to another G5 for a team that shared the conference title only two seasons ago is amazing. That game will be on my TV on Saturday. I have a feeling an upset is looming.

They were 4-8 last year and they are playing Boise State. You can't go back two years for Lousiana and give them credit, and then not go back two years and give Boise State credit for being really good. You also can't give them homefield advantage since Boise routinely doesn't care if you supposedly have it or not. 4-8 Troy beat them 41-17 at Cajun Field so I doubt Boise wilts in the swamp heat of Acadiana.
Also, vegas doesn't care all that much about program strength. They see a team that went 4-8 in the SBC playing a perennial G5 powerhouse. Boise had 9 wins last year and beat NIU 55-7. They may not be what they were five years ago but give them credit for being a lot better than Lousiana at this point.

Great. You can throw numbers around as if I don't know them but to be a 20 point underdog at home to anyone is a travesty. I don't know that they will cover but last season could and should be shown to have been an anomaly which is represented by the changeover they experienced at quarterback. Also, there is quite the difference between a summer spent working out in Boise and a summer spent in Louisiana when it comes to dealing with the elements.
If the game is kept close into the fourth quarter, I expect those elements will show. That said, I don't particularly care for what vegas thinks or why as their general motivation is to make money and not to be representative of what an actual game score will be.

McGuire will be the key. If he gets enough touches, the Cajuns could make a game of it.

Make sure to have a chance in the Fourth and anything can happen. An 11:00 AM CST kick-off for the first game after spending all summer in Boise could make it interesting.
