He seems remorseful, and saying all the right things, so hopefully this will be his wake up call.

On the cursing note, it's just overkill and unnecessary. Of course there can't be loud cursing up and down the halls of the football building, but the hard line, excessive discipline doesn't work. Creighton is one extreme, and English was the other extreme. At the extremes, the kids either lose respect, and/or just tune the coach out.

I agree. This isn't CYO or a bunch of seminarian. It isn't a bunch of friends out on Saturday night drinking in a private residence either.

I think Creighton himself said this got too much attention after his hiring. He uses it more as a general rule. I think he said something like "I want to comfortably be able to bring my kids to practice."

I'm sure no coaches or players are getting in serious trouble for dropping a four-letter word here or there...

Agree and we don't know what the problems are and best that they be kept 'in house.'

RE: Roback suspended
We already know that Porter is starting (officially made public in the teleconference), but Creighton didn't give a timetable for Roback's return. (I'll assume it's under 3 games though).

Where did those 'stats' come from?

The same place his spelling Porter came from. Doesn't matter what the stats Robacks suspension is his own doing and he needs to accept the consequences thus Porter is starting end of discussion

Agreed. Proter/Porter.....Tomato/Tomoto. Or maybe Scaggie's first name is Kalen?

Found such specific, detailed insight quite strange since we have literally zero coverage of this team, and out of the blue someone comes up with completion percentages and Int numbers for camp? What about Pensyl and Stiebeling while we're at it?

RE: Roback suspended
I'm a Roback fan.
I hope he comes back and plays All MAC level football.
If the receivers catch passes and the defense can keep the team in the game, I beleive he can do it.

I'm also a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan... So... I've sort of been conditioned to believe "if we juuuuuuuuuuuust could (insert whatever here)".
This has helped me as an EMU Football fan too. It takes a special kind of fan to endure this much losing.

RE: Roback suspended
I have no idea if the stats given by scaggie are accurate or not, but I do know that Creighton's staff keeps statistics on everything in Fall Camp, and two years ago Reggie Bell's completion percentage was given as the reason he was named the starter over Roback and Bolden. Deboer and Creighton talked about it during the press conference leading up to the Morgan State game in 2014. So, while I can't confirm those statistics, I'm sure the players would have access to that information, and lets not just assume that its impossible. That being said, Roback is sitting and this is Porter's team for now, I hope Porter and the rest of the team plays well and EMU wins big on Friday.
