OU recruit QB Drew Keszei
Drew Keszei was injured on a TD run Friday night and will not play any more this year.

I Was at the game. He was tackled from behind as he crossed the goal line and had his ankle roll up on him

Hope he is able to heal up for next year

Homestead High School vs Northrup in Fort Wayne. Indiana started school last week. Keszai plays for Homestead. Homestead is also where WMU QB Zac Terrell is from

He's not going to be seeing the playing field for OU any time soon so my bet is that broken ankle can heal up.

Most fan bases care about their recruits.

i know I am in the minority on this, but I am one fan that does not pay any attention to recruits or national signing day or anything like that. to me, there are too many things that can happen (such as THIS thread!) to a recruit before they get to college, so I don't really start paying attention until they start playing in college. like I said, I know I am in the minority but I am ok with that! that's where I have lived my entire life, so I'm used to it! lol

IndianaSniff: My brother's two daughters went to Homestead High and their family has lived in Fort Wayne the last 25 years. Nice town and Homestead is quite a power in many high School sports. My nieces were both great athletes (stars in softball, golf, volleyball), and both ended up going to my alma mater, Miami (which is fun for me since my little brother went to Ball State on a golf scholarship). One will be a senior this year and the older niece now teaches high school English at Deer Park in Cincinnati (was in my conference when I played HS sports in Cincy) and is the Head volleyball coach there already in her second year teaching.

I get it. Recruiting is a crapshoot, especially in the MAC.

Tell your brother to look out for a UT BSU watch party in November.

Recruiting is never good enough in MAC FB that it exceeds other factors that go into success.

In fact I'd argue the days of ruling the field with a big recruiting class are mostly over. Today its about the great coach that can get his team ready to play every week.

Basketball is a different story where the Top 50 or so players are at a different level physically to the point where its a huge advantage to have them on a squad.

That is why my guess is that WMU doesn't have the year most are projecting and falls short of a MAC championship.
