South Florida also with 2 votes.

SDSU vote total has them ranked #31. When was the last time a Top #25 team visited Huskie Stafdium?

Maryland 03? I'm sure there was a Toledo team ranked since then that came in and then went home.

SDSU opens at home vs New Hampshire. Then they host California. Hoping they beat the Golden Bears as that would most likely get them in the Top 25 and create additional buzz for the Home Opener.

No, closest was 2012 and Toledo lost to Ball State just before the 24-31 loss in Dekalb. The last Toledo team that was a Top 25 prior to 2012 was in 2001. Rockets finished just outside the money in 2005.

In 2002 for sure and possibly 2004. Lost on both occasions.

Thanks guys for doing the research....

Seems safe to say it will have been at least 12 years since a ranked team visited HS if the Aztecs can pull off the Week #2 win vs Cal.

Here's hoping for a battle between undefeated teams on 9/17.

CollegeFootballNews.com Top 128 (how good they see them as):

#72. Northern Illinois
#79. Western Michigan
#93. Toledo

CollegeFootballNews.com Top 128 (how they will End Up at Season's End):
#39. Western Michigan
(What’s Going To Happen? The worst team in the college football rankings when P.J. Fleck first started, now the Broncos could be just good enough to go 12-0 if they can beat Northwestern and Illinois on the road in the first three weeks. They’ll have to settle for a MAC championship.)

#59. Northern Illinois
(What’s Going To Happen? 8-4. There will come a day when the Huskies don’t win the West and play for the MAC title. That’s this year, but they’ll still be terrific after a rough start. The October 8th game at Western Michigan will be the MAC championship – NIU will play well and lose.)

#65. Toledo
(What’s Going To Happen? 8-4. The running game will be as strong as ever under the new head coach, but the rest of the MAC West is too good. Unfortunately, the Rockets have to go on the road to face Northern Illinois and Western Michigan. They’ll lose both November showdowns.)

#68. Ohio
#84. Bowling Green
