Went to the movies today saw Infiltrator-awesome. OK that's not why I created the thread. ODU has released a marketing video that showed before the movie began. Not sure if it's brand new or not. Excellent in my opinion. Looks very professionally produced,. Seemed to be geared to the creative arts students, ballet, art music etc. Kind of glad to see them going after a segment not typically courted.

How's this for marketing!

On my flight back from Austin, TX I was next to a guy who saw my Old Dominion hat and polo. He said you must be a big fan of Old Dominion I smiled and said yea. He said they come a long ways since 2007. I’m thinking to myself this guys knows his stuff to know that ODU hired Bobby Wilder in 07. The guy said he really enjoys the band. I told him I wasn't really into the band and he gave me a strange look. After a few minutes of chatting we figured it out that he was talking about the country music band Old Dominion and I was talking about the college/ football team Old Dominion.

I googled and found out that the band is made up of guys from VCU and JMU and the band started in 2007 how ironic!?!

I was walking towards the Liberty Bell building in Philadelphia on Friday afternoon and acknowledged a guy wearing an ODU hat (with the lion shield) with a friendly, "Yeah, ODU!" while pointing at him. He smiled and pointed back, seemingly happy that someone made the ODU connection in Philly.

Saw the video at the movies, it was very well produced. I believe it will be on TV soon.

I have that same pearl jam t-shirt from that concert. I think that goes back to 1999-2000, but I can't 100% remember.

It's crazy what they consider country music. When I have to disc the family farm I blast Big Smo in my JD 8345.
