CUSA Fan support reflected by Social Media (Twitter)
FWIW, on the CUSA board it appears there is a poster (UNNAMED) that constantly beats his chest over the fact that Marshall has the most fans, the best attendance for football etc. I just find it curious when you look at each CUSA's twitter followers for the respective football teams, well, I was surprised at the huge number of followers UTEP and Old Dominion have in comparison to other conference mates. Both programs have huge numbers that are following thier teams especially for G5 programs. I believe social media is an indicator of true support and is a reflection of the Alumni, community and fans that love or have interest in the program.

I grew up a(n) UNC/ACC fan. As much as the Tar Heel fan in me would like to let you keep on with the wrong numbers for the wolpfack (most would simply assume their fan base couldn't figure out the new-fangled technology), you're looking at an unofficial account. @PackFootball reports 71,800 followers. The UNC account, by comparison, has 80,100.

It would be interesting to see how long it took these programs to amass those legions. Definitely respectable numbers for ODU.
