I'm confused.

EDIT: I think I get it. He most likely plays as a full qualifier at JUCO as a frosh and then signs with EMU in December.

I believe that is correct, I don't believe he will be playing on this year's EMU team. Purportly all four of the DBs from his JUCO have now signed with FBS schools according to his twitter.

RUMOR has it they are trying to get him to play this year.

Not sure why, other than zero regard for building for the future, and absolutely desperate to win now. Actually don't have a problem being desperate to win now, but it kind of shows the state of the program and a new mentality from Creighton.

Looking at his film, he looks like a decent corner, but nothing better than the young guys who have already been in camp and working with the team for a while. This isn't some experienced P5 transfer that's going to step on campus and likely start from day one.

The staff hasn't shown to ability to recruit to build for the future, so I guess this fits the trend toward the Juco, win now strategy.

I don't have a problem with wanting him to join the team this fall. A scholly may be open with Keels departure anyway. Benefits of getting him now: practices with team and learns the system. If red shirts he would have 4 years eligibility starting next year rather than 3 if he plays a season of juco. It's a no brainer from a coaching standpoint, not necessarily desperation unless they think he "needs" to play this year. From what I've been hearing the coaches like the new DBs here now. No reason not to add depth if the roster allows for it.

He did say in his tweet saying that he's committed to EMU that he will be in Ypsi "this fall" so that probably should've been a dead giveaway lol.

Funny you say that. Went on a quick Google search for Riverside College football & found this. One of his teammates went to Florida out of HS in 2014, got into some legal issues (later found not guilty on all charges), played JUCO ball last year and is now practicing w/ Maryland but actually being enrolled is a process.

It looks like this school pumps out some good talent. Skyler Howard is now a QB for West Virginia and he's doing good things in Morgantown. In December they had 10 guys sign mid-year NLIs (which is really good). I'll keep my fingers crossed.
