There was a time I would have thought Norfolk State and Hampton would be easy wins, I don't believe that anymore unfortunately.

There was also a time when we looked forward to match ups with Tennessee, UConn, and Stanford, and it wasn't that long ago.

Those were the days.

Yawn. Another very uninteresting schedule.

Probable losses: Hampton, VCU, Miami, Syracuse, Dayton, Duke, E. Tennessee St.

Every year under Barefoot there is a WTF loss. I pick Norfolk State or NC Central.

On paper this should be an NCAA team, but I just don't see us winning against good to decent level teams.

I am with you on this. There is alot of senior laden talent on this team but I don't know if it will ever be able to compensate for the coaching. On a side note, did we lose recruit Tyasia Moore? She wasn't profiled on odusports player profiles along with the team and other incoming freshmen.

If last season's records are any indication of the type of talent that will come to the Ted this year...

vs NSU: 3-24 (all three wins in the MEAC)
vs W&M: 15-15 (6-12 in CAA) of course, we lost to them last year in an away game...
vs NC Central: 5-23 (3-13 in the MEAC)
vs Dartmouth: 12-18 (7-7 in the Ivey) For those that don't know, the head coach is Belle Koclanes, who was a former ODU assistant. So you have a match-up of Coach Larry's former assistant coaches going head to head. This is also the education game.
vs VCU: 23-10 (including 11-6 in the A-10)
vs Hampton: 14-17 (11-5 in the MEAC) Kind of an off year by Coach Six's standards.

I realize that teams that are in state rivals you can throw out the records. But I'm not sure that will apply to all the VA teams we play this year. I for one am super excited about the level of talent that coach Barefoot will have this season. We should get some wins at home this year. Once again, the more exciting games will be on the road.

Good question about Moore. No clue, but I think we will hear something announced. Strange situation for her. She won a state championship at her high school and then they closed the doors forever. But that shouldn't effect ODU....
