I've seen black before but has anyone done literally all black everything?

Yes all black is pretty common.
I'm personally not a fan, would've much rather gotten all silver unis.

Ditto for me. Blue, throwback blue, white, silver are OK. I fail to see the fascination with the color black. It's too VCU like both as a color and/or attitude.

Black is a very popular color among the youth. Uniforms can bring in recruits.

I'm sorry but the recruit who makes his or her college decision based on a uniform color is perhaps not the student we are looking for.

If it has some appeal to the kids then fine, just doesn't ring my bell. I'm a little more into bright, vibrant colors.

Pretty much every college coach will tell you uniforms are a factor, maybe not as much as other issues, but it still comes into play.
"Swagged out" uniforms not only help prospects take notice of a program, they can be a difference-maker if the recruit is struggling to choose between two relatively even programs. "If they're exactly the same, I think uniforms would push them ahead of the other school," five-star defensive end Lorenzo Carter of Norcross, Ga., said. "If I got the same feel for both schools, they're in the same type of place, then yeah, uniforms would make a difference."
Those 100 recruits were then asked a series of questions. 72 out of 100 of them believe that the statement “Uniforms have a great impact on my perception of a team” is either “Moderately True” or “Very True”, while just 11 recruits responded “Very False”.

I mean that's cool if you want to be William & Mary. You can't ignore reality just because it offends your sensibilities.

This is 100% true. Black is the new black when it comes to college football unis. If you don't have either a black or other flashy alternate uniform, your program will suffer from image stagnation in the eyes of the utes ('My Cousin Vinny' reference), which is the absolute last problem a young program on the rise wants. And while black is indeed dark, it is far less ugly than some of the other atrocities presenting themselves on the gridiron or court in the past 10 years. Count your blessings.

When I first saw the video, I wondered who was in the uniform, since it was obviously new for the players. I wondered if it was Craig Wilkins. Nice. Can't say I'm a fan of the black, because it has nothing to do with our colors, but obviously the players love it, so that's what matters. I remember the NBA doing all black uniforms this year and turning on the games and not knowing who was playing. Isn't that kind of the point of HAVING team colors? The Golden State Warriors in all black was just weird. Anyway, it is the hot trend and these look pretty good and hype up players, recruits, and younger fans.
