You knew they had gone too far when they tried to eliminate the 'PITT" moniker. I'm glad to see everything has finally come full circle.

Because in 1996 we lost 72-0 to Ohio State who scored a touchdown with only 10 men on the field. We lost 60-6 to Notre Dame, 45-0 against Miami, 34-0 against WVU, and 55-7 against Syracuse. The AD (Steve Peterson) aka dumb@$$, decided we needed to establish a new identity. The decision was made. From 1990 - 1997 Pitt posted a total of 30 wins in those 8 seasons and posted a single winning season at 6-5. The academic side raised out admission requirements above the NCAA mandated levels and the football team suffered mightily.

They are absolutely beautiful! The color scheme from the Johnny Majors/Jackie Sherrill era should have never been replaced. There was a time when Pitt ruled college football, they were the U before the U. I welcome back the uniforms - great move.
