I think this is the real point of the thread. People on the left tend to get bent all out of shape by "insensitive whites" who lean conservative. Yet left leaning "people of privilege can be "insensitive" and get away with it. You can't practice hypersensitivity for one group of people but chuck it out the window for others.

Personally, I think it was an innocent tweet with no malice in mind.
