If you guys lose some schools to the B12, the the MWC will look to add a couple AAC school's since we will be the premium G5 conference.

Joining a Western conference would go completely against the conventions of what's driving this realignment.

getting raided doesn't make the MWC the top g5..it just makes it a debate again

if boise and sdsu lose early games vs the weak p5 they play (not impossible) the aac could lose teams and still be considered stronger

i honestly cant see a single AAC jumping..theyd likley wait it out to see what happens in 2024 with oklahoma and texas

It's debatable now, the MWC should have the way better year this year Boise an SDSU are both in great spots for the access bowl this year

you have 2 projected good teams 1 mediocre and 9 teams that are projected horrible

its not debatable to any non-mwc fan

if sdsu loses to cal..not impossible. or and boise losses to wazuu....the perception of the mwc might become hot trash

This is 2016, the AAC and MWC deals are up in 2019 and 2020 is the next bowl cycle.

If you are Aresco you've got a couple years where you can sit on 10 schools before committing to replace anyone. A couple more access bowls to add to the resume.

Then at that point its time to see if you can make a play for BYU and the front range assuming BYU and AFA are still available. Make a power play to present yourself as a P6 conference. Sign a new TV deal for significantly more money than before.

BYU as a FB Only to be a counterpart in the west with Navy FB Only. Colorado State, Air Force and New Mexico in a division with SMU, Tulsa and Tulane. Travel wouldn't be much worse than the MWC for those schools.

The MWC top 3 will do way better then the top 3 in the AAC
SDSU smashed Cincinnati last year.
You guys have one good school Houston and a bunch of mediocrity 1 good year does not make the AAC you will have to prove it this year, and with the cream of the crop gone schools may be open season for pickens

You aren't going to come out economically in good shape if you exit fee out of the AAC and join the MWC with a entrance and the TV payout change.
