Matt Williams has become the #1 receiver at Grand Valley. Last year he had 72 catches for 1,357 yards (18.8 avg) and 17 TDs.

NIU is pretty tiny at WR. Another guy with some size can only help, IMO. IIRC, he was practicing at WR at WMU before he transferred here so it's not something completely foreign to him.

The re ruining gurus who sid he was not a QB were/are right. He's an athlete. Hopefully he can make plays from out there. We need speed, anyone see it?

Grant it, those are impressive stats but comparing what he did at Grand Valley State to being able to do that at NIU level of play is apples and oranges. There is no way Matt was talented enough to play at the Div. 1 level.

Ehh kinda disagree. He played a ton as a freshman. Didn't he even handle some PRs? Could be wrong. If that kid stuck he would have been consistent.


Speaking of him, anybody know why Brinlee left a couple years ago? Kids was lightning and had a very bright furure in our system.
