I was thinking about the mention of playing Dayton and that we hopefully have some sort of home-and-home deal with them, and that it didn't seem as challenging as bringing in a Power 5 school to Freedom Hall. That got me wondering if there are other strong mid-majors that we could bring in to Freedom Hall a lot easier than Tennessee or Michigan State. We brought in VCU a few years ago, and I wondered about other possibilities.

A couple that came to my mind, besides VCU and Dayton, that would really attract a crowd were Providence, George Washington, and SMU. I don't think having a home-and-home deal with them would be as challenging as some of our others, but I'll also admit I don't know all the inner workings either.

As to your question about who is possible....I don't know.

Who would I like to see?

Charlotte, UAB, Western Kentucky, Marshall, George Mason, Richmond, Northern Iowa, Louisiana Tech.

Dayton is supposed to have a really good team this year. That is going to be a tough game. Would love to seem them come to Freedom Hall sometime.

Middle Tennessee, App State, Davidson, Old Dominion and East Carolina.

Believe Dayton will be a home and home.

Agree. That's a potential top 25 opponent on our home court and if we continue to improve that's a potential win against a top 25 opponent.

Agree with almost everyone of those. Definitely the schools in our region like App State and Charlotte. ECU would also be a good one. I was trying to come up with folks typically in the top 25 too, hoping they would come in here ranked. Last ranked team I remember coming in here was Michigan St. VCU wasn't even ranked when they gave us that beat down a few years ago VCU 2012 rankings.
