Nah, I read not that long ago that some other presidential nominee was under audit He might not have released the one under audit, but he did release the previous ones. Trump hasn't released any.

Releasing tax returns is a relatively new thing. I read an article about it a few weeks ago, I think it started in the late 60's or 70's.

Simply because he isn't the only one not to release tax returns.

Excuse me. Modern presidential nominee. Didn't figure anyone would need to clarify to times when there were still many Americans $hitting in out houses. Only someone ignorant wouldn't really understand or need that clarified. Doesn't change the point at all. Being a successful business man is his entire foundation for his candidacy and competency at least one aspect of the job. He has nothing else. Should we not see any record evidence of this or how he operated in business?

40 or 50 years is not exactly "new". Basically from the time mass information could be distributed to most americans through TV they have. What was Abe going to do pony express his tax returns?

There is no real evidence that's been produced that he's really under audit anyway. Warren Buffet called him out a few weeks ago and said he was under audit currently and would release his at the same time Trump did and that it wasn't an issue at all.

Many American's didn't have indoor plumbing until the 60's. Basically every other serious modern candidate has and it's even more important than ever that he does because he has zero record of anything else but a reality TV show and tabloids to go on.
