Harvard study finds 45,000 deaths annually linked to lack of health coverage

http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/20...-coverage/

That's about how many Americans die in car accidents annually. Oh and way more than the number of Americans who die from terrorism, which Republicans are always freaking out about.

and who's fault is that? Are you trying to guilt trip me that I should provide healthcare to less fortunate?

It always seems so hypocritical to me when someone says they are pro life until that child needs health care. Then it's. Why should I have to pay it? Why can't they pay for it on their own?

What are things Republicans oppose, underfund, and want to scrap, Mr. Trebek? I'll take that same category for 400 dollars next please.

Sick of this stupid line. I'm fine with some deadbeat's kids having free health care. Lord knows it isn't the child's fault. I'm also for making adoption much easier than it already is. More of a lack of information problem than anything else.

Two of the authors are founders of a group that advocates for a single-payer health care system, so take it with a grain of salt.

45,000 is the upper end of the estimate and this study is widely accepted as an outlier.

RE: Right now TODAY it's 347-191.
While its possible there's an enthusiasm gap, I'm becoming a lot more optimistic. DJT isn't making much headway outside of his core base of angry whites (mostly males). And he keeps going back to the same group he already has, using messaging and antics that anger everyone else.

Last week, DJT started off with a speech on the economy. A bad one, with no specifics other than a self serving tax plan that we can't afford, but at least it was something.

Then he went to Wilmington and used the 2nd Amendment speech, and then doubled down on it. Then said he was sarcastic. Then gave another speech where he said, 'not really sarcastic'.

Then he claimed Obama founded ISIS. Then doubled down on it when Hewitt tried to talk him out of it.

Then he claimed that only voter fraud could keep him from winning a state that he's currently behind, by large margins, in a state that hasn't voted for Republican in 28 years.

---

What will this week bring?

Yep. Conservatives want to offer aid to the truly, needy, helpless (handicapped, children, elderly) not the lazy and clueless.

My thing is this... It's a bull shaq statement when Mach or Bison or one of those lot say "only pro life until born"... Because I would not only keep our current welfare but expand it greatly as a compromise that ended medically unnecessary abortion.

They would not make that compromise... The right to kill babies means more to them than better welfare.
