Exclamation With the list of Candidates, pick the teams you think might get added.
With Air Force now in the hunt, I think that is huge. To me, these would be the best adds to the conference and go to 14

Air Force - Brings back the Colorado Mkt and national following.
BYU - Best tradition, national following
Cinci - Best non P5 program with football and basketball Ohio Market.
Houston - Not really sure it really brings anything from a TV perspective to the B12. But they seem to have the political sway. Football appears up and coming with a good history.

Just my 2 cents. Like to hear other's thought.

Cincinnati and Houston still are the front runners in my opinion. Would love NIU to get the nod but i know it's a long shot. If they add 4 I'd say Memphis and either UCF or UCONN.

Is it true BYU has withdrawn from the race?

Have not heard anything about that with BYU

I always thought Houston and Cincy to be the best choices. Still do.

I agree. AFA once turned down a chance to be seriously considered by the Big 12 saying they could not recruit vs OU and UT. I think CSU, solid buddies of the AFA, making such a push for the Big 12, may have awakened the AFA to reality. CSU loves AFA until something better comes along. So AFA better try also. Would not be surprised if the Big 12 chooses the AFA since they were interested a few years ago.

AFA, Navy, UH, Cincy

I don't think AFA is competitive enough in non-football sports to be chosen.

I still give the nod to Cincinnati as first pick and Houston edging out BYU as second pick.

If Navy was on the list, I would agree with you. They would be the perfect travel partner for WVU.

Fresno State/SDSU best long-term strategy for tv sets/also brings CA recruiting.

Been scanning WVU scout board and the shag, and there lots of folks giddy that AFA is in the mix. They all seem to be hoping for some type of AFA/Navy combo.

If I remember correctly, Navy wanted the AFA to join the BE back when Navy was deciding for themselves. I would not be surprised if the AFA is talking to Navy about the Big 12 now. I know that FB only is just not done in the P5 but the Big 12 could be somewhat innovative and get both the AFA and Navy FB only and add UH and Cincy all sports. I really think that is their best move.

I hope when all P5 expansion is over there are 5 16 team conferences.
Lots of schools that can be competitive and add long term value, UConn, UC, UCF, Memphis, CSU, SDSU, USF, Houston etc.

Navy owns us. We haven't beat them in like a hundred years. Course, we don't play much.

Cincy and Houston to start(and ending the AAC's deal with ESPN in the process), followed by USF and UCF a few years later.

Memphis, Cincy, probably Houston, but mustering 8 votes may be an issue. BYU if the Big 12 can get past the LGBT letter and the honor code thing.

If no BYU, then no real clue. If no Houston also, then I'm really lost. Maybe UCF or Tulane? I think that's why there are questions now. I think UM and UC are good for 11/12, and UH and BYU were 13/14, but now, they're back to figuring it out. I don't really know past the first 2, which I think are still good. JMO.
