Interesting scenario. If you had an honest choice for your school, would you rather..

A. Have the AAC remain intact, have P5 status and have a 10 million dollar paycheck for each school

OR

B. Be invited to the B12 play against schools like Texas and Oklahoma and recieve a $20 million dollar plus pay check?

B is the honest answer for 99% of anyone..

a better angle is that me and everyone not the 3 Eeyore uc fans would have been perfectly content with A..

if expansion was closed everyone would honestly be truly happy with A

You should have added for A - GOR for the next 20 years and guaranteed stability. And for B - No GOR extension plus 20 mil a year only after the third year in the conference.

I think the majority would choose B.

But look at a West Virginia. They used to be the cream of the crop of the old big east and received tons of publicity and Hype. Now look at them. They are in a conference with no rivals, they aren't competing on a football level they thought they would and are not very relevant in football talk right now. They are just collecting a fatty paycheck as a also ran in the B12.

I think WVU will be fine, if they get rid of their unstable coach. You are correct about the rivals though, but that could change the longer they are in the XII.

I mostly hang back in the weeds and enjoy the show, especially when it comes to realignment and expansion.

Stadium project is progressing as planned, it’s a “front burner project” according to the administration.

Feasibility studies have been done, architects are working on plans and proposed budgets, nothing final yet but it continues to move forward.

It’s a good time to be a Temple Owl.

B choice has to have a qualifier...... give a percentage on whether UT/OU leave or stay?

Umm. Texas and Oklahoma would for at least 5 more years. after that all bets are off.

I'd be fine with either, as long as the arbitrary classification of P5/G5 was eradicated..

My main concern is not being at an inherent disadvantage when it comes to retaining coaches and recruiting.

10 million should be a big help... but also not having a label that confers 2nd rate status.

I like all the teams in the AAC as much as I would the Big 12.

Bad question because the Big 12 will not pay newbies $20 mil. the existing teams will keep $10 mil themselves to split up for however many years they want.

Not only does this Temple fan post, but he'll be able to delve out rep points in 6.3 more years. So straighten up and fly right. Opening your eyes will help also. I'll be keeping an eye on you.

The AAC should get the Big 12 name. They actually have 12 football members. This way everybody in the AAC can be in the Big 12 and no one gets left out.
