Tomorrow is Meet the Dukes Evening, always a nice opportunity to see the guys up close and get to know them some.

I am hoping to get to some practices next week. Does anyone have a practice schedule? Has anyone been attending? The Twitter clips and Facebook stuff has gotten me excited. Road trips are planned.

If our passing game is strong enough to keep opponents from stacking the box we are not only going to score at will from the ground or the air, but we'll be able to control the clock at crucial points of the game much better than last year.

Gotta love it. I think we were way too much finesse the last few years. The more I hear, the more I like about this team.
Our coaches really seem to understand what this team strengths are and to exploit those strengths. I think we were lacking that somewhat with Withers, especially on defense. He tried to force his team into a system that wasn't made for them and we suffered big time.
If our O-line can open up the holes for these guys, we are going to be dangerous.

Sounds like Schor is having a great camp based on Houston's twitter posts. Hope that means we will have two highly qualified QB's.

Every time I walk through campus, it always looks great. Back in June on Father's Day morning I spent an hour walking around and thought how nice the place was maintained even during the "down" month of June. Grass was cut, flower beds tended to, NO litter, even the fenced in D Hall destruct was neat. The area around the old Hospital is really looking great. The new garage ought to win a design award. Our campus is a recruiting tool! Contrast that to some of the colleges I have visited over the years, JMU sells itself with such a great looking campus.

(I put this on the Football thread since it doesn't fit into the ODUH envy/hate thread or the Bison schedule or the SB App State threads that seem to predominate the boards these days.)

The QB battle is going to be interesting to watch the next two weeks. All signs point to Schor starting week 1. I'm guessing we see both of them play meaningful minutes during the first two games.
