I'd expect this thread in particular to be hopping given all the Big 12 expansion rumors/drama.

How about these reasons:

1. An OSU poster got banned.
2. One Baylor poster hasn't been around since the scandal and another has been here but laying low.
3. We have no Oklahoma posters.
4. Bullet stays mostly on the main boards as the lone Texas poster.
5. A couple of Texas Tech posters are gone, one due to banning and another due to frustration with nothing but G5 stuff on the main board and the endless parade of crap directed at P5 posters by those with schadenfreude.
6. Eers fans like mixing it up with old Big East rivals.
7. The best two Kansas posters primarily post on the Big 10 and sometimes the SEC boards.
8. Our Cyclone poster stays on the main board.
9. They all know the Big 12 is a Dead Man Walking.
10. Because for a while every ACC poster always proclaimed, "At least we are better off than the Big 12" and there is a long list of ACC posters around here.

So....if you are stuck in a dying conference where crappy news predominates, and throw in a crappier scandal at a religious school, sprinkle in the usual OU & UT hate, have folks that are still more involved with their old conference rivals, get treated as the butt of every joke around here, and have a leadership that doesn't have a clue as to what they really want to do, then maybe you would be discouraged enough not to care to chat with other fellow sufferers about just how danged pitiful your future looks!

Add to that the fact that most of them are red staters in an even crappier presidential year and I'm happy they have family and jobs to see them through this horrific crisis. So I'd say that when your outlook is bleak no matter what the options, others treat you horribly, your rising star covers up rape at a religious school, you lose 4 AAU members to other conferences, and your best expansion candidates are who you once played at homecoming to guarantee a victory, then you would be bummed out too!

But hey, other than that everything is fine "In this the best of all possible worlds!" Viva Voltaire!

The forum is College Sports and Conference Realignment. Conference Realignment starts at the top and trickles down. This board just a couple of years ago was mostly P5 with top G5 programs thrown in, was heavily influenced by decent conversations without all of the petty trolling, and people don't get "ran" off from the board, they get "driven away" from the board.

I might add that 3 years ago when a survey was taken the average education level of this board was a Master's Degree. Now many times I wonder if maybe it's the 7th grade!

But maybe I should quote "O Brother Where Art Thou?" as it pertains to Mrs. Hogwhallop, "She (They referring to the P5 posters who are gone) done R U N N O F T". Why? They must be looking for answers because they danged sure aren't finding them here anymore!

Your post and the one above it are exactly the kinds of puerile, insecure, obnoxious, know nothing posts that too many G5 posters (due apologies to the righteous and serious G5 board members) exhibit on this board. But your's have managed to cross lines that even most of those don't.
