I understand being unhappy with officials from the perspective of a fan and I've been known to share my thoughts with the refs, but it's an exhibition game in August, coach. Just take a deep breath. It will be OK. Instead, he decided to tell the officials what he really thought and got himself suspended.

No surprise. This coach took back the BG coach after he was fired.

Wichita State was losing the game and was not playing well. After his tirade against the officials and ejection from the game, the players were fired up and they came back and won the game. Perhaps he went over the top to pump up his team and give them some energy? His players were clapping for him as he walked off the court. They saw that he had their backs and they were motivated to have his back and play well the rest of the game.

He was suspended for one meaningless game in Canada, which is about as harsh as a tap on the wrist.

He went crazy and is a high-strung person, but they were playing under McGill's rules (instead of college rules) with McGill's refs, so I'm sure he was going into the game a little more anxious than a usual exhibition. One of his players got hurt pretty bad, which was part of the build-up. It doesn't excuse him from just losing it, but reading about the context makes me understand why he would be upset.

Of course, this trip and the arrangements (rules, refs, etc.) were all made by Wichita and Marshall, so he shares the blame for the context I wrote about above.
