Since Rose's retirement, JMU was a UMass decision away from the MAC, SB invite decline from being in the SB(again, President's decision) and now is awaiting a Big 12 decision.

The effort has been there but only one time was JMU in control of the decision. The CAA also remains a good mid major league for us.

I certainly understand your position and a few others that we should have taken the Sun Belt. That is the one decision in which you have ground to stand on. I also understand why JMU chose not to go. The rest of your commentary just feels like you, like Dukeman, have an agenda. You want Bourne fired. What did this guy do to you for you to be so vindictive?

CAA first , then JMU. Bourne's friendship with Tom Yeager is why...Yes, Rose and Jon Boy are anit-fbs but they got no fight from Bourne

I really couldn't be more excited to watch us engage in excellence against Central Connecticut State and Morehead State.

Those Universities just scream excellence. I'm so pumped about our great winning percentage, YAY WE WON!

Haze: I have had many a conversation with Bourne since he became AD. He has had a vision for FBS almost since day one. He is not the decision maker. I guess you can criticize him for not having more influence on each President under which he worked but I am 100% sure that if the decision was his, JMU would have partnered with ODU years ago and approached CUSA together.

I also know Tom Yeager well. He is not the type of man that would ask JMU to stay in the CAA if their ambitions were something more. The decision to stay in the CAA was 100% Dr. Rose and no one else.

Two years ago, Yeager spent media day ranting about how the G5 and low tier bowls are not better than fcs playoffs and Yeager referred to JMU alum as "the mob." What was Bourne's response to the CAA commissioner attacking JMU alum?...Same as always, nothing...

Bourne started in what, '99? If he had FBS plans sixteen years ago as you have stated, he has seen a stadium tear down and rebuild (fbs) and several rounds of conference shifts that took App State, G-South, ODU (five years into a program), Coastal (OMG) and others...and JMU is stuck in the CAA...astounding success of a goal.

All I have ever heard Bourne say follows verbatim, "We are happy where we are" Sounds driven to me!!!

I am surprised the athletic dept is on track to surpass last season's season tickets sales. I'm happy the downward sales trends appears to be reversed especially given our weak home schedule. The Dukes are poised to have a good season. I'm glad they are being supported.

Excluding the post-season games the last two years, the average JMU attendance in FB has been remarkably stable at the slightly above 20k level. I'm not really surprised at the number of season tickets sold, the metrics behind the demand are on a positive (growth) oriented direction. It's only the "I'm pissed we're not hosting Alabama" crowd that think attendance is in some kind of death spiral.

Where can i get a JMU admin wink-wink decoder ring? Is it called the ring of that which is so? I'd like to know what is so.

What is the right situation? That would be my first question.

Dude: You are hopeless. I have never witnessed anyone so obsessed with something. I hope your rants and conspiracy theories are doing something for you personally because they are doing nothing to further JMU athletics.

There are going to be over 100 D1 football schools who don't go FBS. Many of them good football programs. If JMU does not make the cut, the world nor JMU athletics will not come to an end.
