I heard they have a lot of new faces on offensive line which will be an issue all year.

Didn't see the game, but the box score said he got sacked 3 times. Poor blocking or held on to the ball too long?

if TigerRob is right, then they had a lot of 2nd and 3rd string guys out there....maybe some guys who won't make the team..but showing what they could do.
Woulda been nice if he could have had the 1st team o line....but he'll grow and learn from it.
Offense concepts in Denver system are unlike anything he had in college, so it will take awhile to adjust.
Plus, even tho he was playing against scrubs...the speed of the NFL is so much faster than the college game.
You hear a lot of Qbs and RBs talk about the game "slowing down for them".

Those are definitely better than not bad numbers.

He looked real good. Held on to the ball on the first sack but after that he looked really relaxed.

Every pass he made was right on the numbers. Had a nice scramble for a first down too. You could not have hoped for much better in his first game as a pro.

Several dumb penalties kept him from getting a score & negated a couple of long gain passes. He minimized the shacks by getting back to near the LOS & he had a couple of nice blitz avoidances for gains. He was by comparison by far the best passer in the game, real sharp, on the money throws. Looked good, a very positive first pro game.

I will add, he drove the offense down close enough for a 47 yard fg try, but the kicker tried to knock the right goalpost down. Came right back at him...

Paxton looked like a NFL QB. Quick on the release and good footwork.

I agree. That last drive he took them straight down field, and they would have had first and goal at the 7, except for a holding call, that then made it 3rd and 25. He looked very good, in control, passes were very tight and crisp. He scrambled at least once for a first down. I was very impressed for his first game.

It was actually 1 rush for 7 yards.
The other 2 "rushes" were him taking a knee to run out the clock.

He looked like he belonged. 1 sack was actually a tuck and run to the left where he didn't quite make the line of scrimmage. The other 2 were coverage sacks with no big hits. He hit all his throws right on the money. The one miss was a fly down the right sideline where he just over-threw. He put the ball is spots where there was no danger of interception. He was playing with a big lead the whole 2nd half, so they ran a lot, and he played clock management.

I didn't see Mose at all. The announcers were the Bears crew, so we got very little insight from them as to Pax's play and future.

Good article. Paxton did very well with his bullet passes. I'm pretty sure the organization is well aware of his abilities. When he did throw the bullet passes, they were a beauty regardless of the third string players. They didn't draft him for nothing.
