RE: uh-oh...
Heisman was pretty good at Georgia Tech before he came to Rice.

Just saw this summary of Paul Johnson's accomplishments at GA Tech. Compare to Coach Bailiff at Rice:
Paul Johnson's resume while at GA Tech includes one ACC title, two Orange Bowls, two 11-win seasons, three ACC title-game appearances, three wins in five tries at Georgia, three ACC coach-of-the-year awards, three Top 25 finishes, one top-10 finish and only one — one — bad season over nine years.
Travel back in Ga Tech history and see if you find a Yellow Jackets’ football coach who has accomplished that, against this difficult academic/economic backdrop.
Well, Bobby Ross won a share of the national title in 1990, and 2 ACC titles total, in just 5 years, where his first 2 years had 5 wins total. But he only beat Georgia in 2 of his 5 years.
Former Rice assistant Bobby Ross.
Yep, ya'll nailed it.

If Kaarlgaard leaves Rice for Ga Tech or Minnesota, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Does it mean he has changed the narrative enough to get hired by a P5. When CDC left for TCU, they weren't P5. Of course we screwed up hiring his replacement.
I do question is Ga Tech's agenda is wanting a new football coach, why hire JK? he whiffed on his chance to make a change.

Ga Tech hired an alum as AD so they are not coming after JK.

Ga Tech hired Todd Stansbury as their new AD. I posted the link to the article about that because it contained some information I thought some of those here might find interesting. If the Bailiff retention does not go well next season it will not only further stain Coach Bailiff, it will tarnish JK some as well.
