I'm really starting to doubt Houston gets in over Cincinnati. I think too many are going to try to block adding another Texas school. At first this worried me because I started thinking they would want to add an eastern team to replace Cincy. If you look at their map I would think a team on their western half will be the way the go no matter who is chosen. Right now Navy plays in their west division. I'm guessing this is so USF/UCF can both play in the east. They can move to the east and make balanced east/west divisions.

This may give us an edge against Charlotte, Marshall, and NIU. We'll still have to beat out La Tech, WKU, MTSU though. Also if the LGBT community successfully tilts the Big 12 away from BYU, the AAC may end up staying at 10.

Heck, if the story about BYU no longer on the BigXII watch list is true.. (again, only rumour).

Basically the BigXII ain't expanding if that's true, which means status quo for everyone.

Navy wanted to be in the AAC West with the other smaller, private institutions SMU, Tulsa, and Tulane. Potential new divisions could go any number of ways depending on who would be leaving.

Keep conference realignment threads on the proper boards unless there is actual evidence of Southern Miss being involved in it. This isn't the board for "What is Youston going to do?" or "Feldman: Cincy moving to the Big 12." There are specific boards for that. Everyone has access to them.
