Exclamation Injuries ... Coaching or Bad Luck?
Some injuries are just freak accidents and not much you can do about it. That said, how much does how the program is run play a role in reducing injuries on the whole? Warm ups, depth, and strength and conditioning could be factors I suppose.

Some programs tend to have relatively few injuries and some tend to have them in spades. Are there ways to prevent large scale injuries, and are high injury counts a sign of an undisciplined or poorly conditioned team?

I'm curious as I don't get to see what goes on under the hood.

Without looking at numbers and going off what I witnessed and others have pointed out, GA Southern had a drop in injuries under Willie Fritz from Jeff Monken. Most people contribute this too not tackling to the ground in practice and teaching more technique. Also our tackling seemed to be better under Fritz, something we feared would not be the case when it was discovered no tackling in practice.

I agree totally. Berry had rashes of injuries every year. We practiced full speed including big hits multiple days a week and the S&C program wasn't up to par. Hopefully we see an improvement with Viator.

Less hits means less injury. I've played entire seasons gimpy on an ankle or shoulder and ankle and neck... Reducing this likely gives more to effective tackling than losing tackle reps in practice. No better way to learn to tackle than one on ones at the right time with the right head to head in a controlled setting. Reducing injury potential is a major selling point to recruits. Full contact gladiator coaches are quickly becoming a thing of the past because of it.
