RE: Big 12 reps at UCF
Houston has the #4 market in the country and momentum. But there are 3 Texas schools. How much pull do to non Texas schools have?
TCU, Baylor, UT, Tex Tech = 3?

I completely agree that USF and UCF should really be looked at as a package deal. How bad does the Big 12 want into Florida?
I really like the Colorado State/BYU add. Its a nice western add that makes geographical sense for the Big 12. How much do they care about Geography?
Cincy makes a perfect travel partner for West Virginia and expands on the WVU add last time around. How much does the Big 12 care about WVU?

Memphis would make some sense, especially to bridge to Cincy/WVU but academically they may be considered sub par. How much do they care about academics, now (see WVU add)?
UConn is near the NYC market and fits all the criteria BUT geography, and doesn't help for recruiting purposes...like say UCF/USF. How far are they willing to fly?
There options are, literally, all over the place. And then you factor in 2 or 4. And Now and Later.
What I think may happen is the Big 12 starts with BYU and Cincy...and then goes to 14 in a few years.
I think they might move to 14 in one shot. I think BYU and Cincy are locks for any expansion that the Big 12 does. I do think they decide to bridge to BYU and get back in Colorado by annexing Colorado State. The question is who comes on the eastern side with Cincinnati. I don't see the logic in a 5th Texas program even one as qualified as Houston. Maybe they go into Memphis as a way to bring the Big 12 brand into a new recruiting area (an excellent one at that) and into a new decently populated state. Maybe they go with Houston. Maybe they take a shot on UConn despite being even more geographically outlying than BYU would be or WVU already is.
I do see any move for UCF or USF as a move to take both in a package deal. For better or worse, the two schools are going to be married to one another in conference shifts/politics for some time to come.
