Pitino is ducking CUSA. I wouldn't run that birdy mouth too much.

Depends what year from the past....
'03-'04 Seasons: UCONN
'02 Season: UCF
'01 Season: Syracuse
''00 Season: UCF
'99 Season: None
'98 Season: UCF

No one can predict the future...but those are probably the teams that would of been preferred to play during those years.
We were talking about basketball since the Memphis poster said Pitino was ducking CUSA.

I can understand UL wanting to fatten up on cupcakes in OOC. (Though they did that when they were in CUSA, so I Imagine it'll only be worse now.)

Conf. play combined with their annual nose-dive in hoops will not be kind to them next year.

And that was OBVIOUSLY what I was talking about since Memphis and UL aren't in a league together anymore. OOC.

I know, I know you play Kentucky. Who cares? Florida? Please.

Cincy is playing our 2 BEST hoops teams this coming year. UL is playing football against a team that went 0-11 last year. I'm impressed.

Huggins has balls. Pitino and Jurich are cowards.

and for all the talk of UL being the next Miami, the series record between them and "lowly 2 season wonders in Memphis?" is 19-21 (and nearly was evened up this year)

The condesencion, coming from someone who lives in a state that automatically makes me think
of "Coal Miners' Daughter" is hilarious.

and yes Pitino is scared to play Memphis.

Well all I can give you credit for is making a post more confusing than needed. Nice job alternating sentence subjects as to football and basketball.

As for the above quote, what the hell are you talking about? We aren't playing UCF in football. Try to make sense next time you come back with a weak response.

As for an "annual nosedive", only an idiot like you would make that comment about a team that just finished with 33 wins and a Final 4 trip. Especially coming from a school that is so locked into the Postseason NIT that the NIT commitee pencils in Memphis as early as November and then spends the rest of the season scouting for 39 other leftovers.

As for your last comment, again, thanks for showing your ignorance. Comparing Louisville to far Eastern Kentucky is like comparing Memphis to the mountains of Eastern Tenn. Not that you likely have any idea of that whole "geography" thing.

All of those insults are cute(more of that typical UL condesencion), but Pitino will get worse when it comes to scheduling OOC cupcakes. Period. He has admitted in the press he wants none of Memphis.

Yes you had a good year. But do the words "sunshine" and "dog's a$$" have any meaning for you?

Also I saw this pile of sh!t you left on the Big East board,......(this was also in regards to the Cats
scheduling Memphis for next year)

Quote: Memphis has potential to have some sustained growth in both major sports. However, they are half a decade behind UofL ni the growth of their programs. It's painfully obvious how bad they want and need games against UofL to fill the stands and help them try and compare themselves to us. This is not to say Memphis is not a rival, they are. However, its the classic case of a younger brother bugging the older brother as the younger tries to fill the shoes.

You are a fool. And I doubt your trolling and smack about us will earn UL the respect
you arrogant pricks have always wanted so badly. Maybe you can impress USF fans?

I'll stand by my statement. The scratching, clawing, bitching, and begging by Memphis in order to play us was pretty pitiful. Even other fans on here said what I did, that the Tigers have no trouble getting nice top-flight basketball games. The desperate sense was shown though in the need to play us.

As for overall, Memphis basketball has always played neck and neck with UofL head to head. While at certain times one team or the other would take a short advantage, it has been competitive. The difference over the years however was the results of UofL vs everyone else compared to Memphis. Both schools were very down half a decade ago, both had well known college and NBA experienced coaches come in. John C. has had an extra year over Pitino and yet seems to love the NIT. And there's no excuses, UofL has had just as many difficulities in regards to players leaving for the NBA, etc.

As for football, ask nearly anyone on here. A smaller set of solid winning years does not guarantee future success for an unlimited period. I realize this. 7 straight winning seasons and a bowl each year for UofL does not mean success forever. Memphis, while there is no reason to say they are about to start losing again, has not even shown that they can sustain that much continued success however. Considering we've been to more bowls since 2002 than Memphis has over the last three decades, and that you were last ranked at the end of the year over 40 years ago, I stand by my statement.

I could care less if you like it but that's how I see it.

As for "trolling", at least I am on the board of the conference my school is still currently in. Ironic isn't it that you are quoting me something off the Big East board, a conference your school is not in, not ever been in, and won't be in for at least a few more years, if ever.

I never once heard Pitino say he didnt want any part of Memphis. Why are you making things up?
As for your "yeah you play kentucky, who cares?" comment, well it is one of the top 2 basketball rivalries in the country afterall. With our loaded Big East schedule there is no need to load the OOC up with. Syracuse, Cincy, Marquette, UConn, Villanova, Notre Dame, Pitt, DePaul, Kentucky, Florida, West Virginia, etc is enough.

Right...that's why on two different occasions it's been rated on ESPN as the #1 non-conference rivalry in college basketball.
