The gold winning 4 X 100 relay was exciting and fun to watch. Congrats to her and her teammates.

I read somewhere that cricket is the second most viewed sport in the world after soccer. There must be something to cricket that most Americans do not understand.

Lead by UConn grads, the USA Women's basketball team is terrific. I plan to tune in this afternoon for the gold medal game against Spain. Go USA!!

Bolt is a big star and the only reason many people are watching. Heck, he's one of the only reasons I'm watching, I'm not really watching the triathalon, it's just on right now. I kinda understand now why ESPN talks so much about certain players. They're who the casual fans and people who wouldn't care otherwise want to see, though it annoys us diehards.

What we don't understand is that it's the most popular game in one of the biggest countries in the world, just like no one anywhere else understands our obsession with tackle football. India is going to be the world's largest country soon, if it isn't already, of course their most popular game is gonna be the most watched game besides futbol.

You could be right about the appeal of Bolt acting as the reason for his coverage level. I only watch when Americans are involved in sports I would not follow otherwise.

Jamica Taunts America's 4 X 100 Team

I suspect their poor sportsmanship will spur the USA and result in a different outcome four years hence. It is dumb to pull on Superman's cape.

They have reason to be arrogant, they've been kicking our tail lately.

The Jamaicans are beatable without Bolt. They needlessly placed pressure on their next squad and gave more motivation to the "Colossus to the North". Stupid.

That's like saying the Cavs are beatable without LeBron James.

Time to root Galen on and see if we can medal with a guy running only his second marathon ever.

Rupp keeping pace as the leaders kick out two sub 4:45 miles in a row to hit 20. The real race is on...time to bring on 6.2 in likely about 28-29 minutes.
