Yea,I think this has a lot to do with Uconn fans curiously insane hatred of Memphis. It's really weird because I don't think Memphis fans really give a rat's Azz about uconn one way or another. On their boneyard site spend so much time criticizing us until it's spooky.

I will say that I've enjoyed competing in the same league as UConn and admire the great basketball tradition you guys have.

And even though it was before the AAC formed, one of my favorite memories will always be the 2007 Memphis-UConn game in MSG

Not that wired. A lot of the rumors the last couple weeks were BYU, Houston, Cinci and UConn/Memphis. So UConn and Memphis fans are each posting "this is why we're great and they suck." So now the hot rumor is BYU as football only and one other? Will second one be football only two which would mean like Boise or Navy or ECU probably in that order.

Credibility lacking in this Tramel tweet, what he meant to say is HE doesn't want Memphis. The OU & Memphis presidents are close, and OU has been a sponsor of Memphis B12 membership. In fact Memphis is strong with both OU & OK St. Find the links yourself, but they are there.
