RE: Linder College New building
I was under the impression the new building would sit where the current Business College exists, as well as the small parking lot to the south and alumni center. The rendering seems to have it sit on a much larger footprint.

RE: Linder College New building
I knew the building would sit on the site where the alumni center is now. However, where the current Lindner College is, I believe they were going to take the building down when this is complete.

How much bigger is this 225,000 square foot building to the old Lindner College?

Exactly why I posted it.. Looks a bit bigger than any plan I had ever heard about potential expansion/rebuild

Looks like the CBA garage would be removed in that picture.

I don't think any of the parking facilities will be touched outside of the parking lot for the Alumni Center.

The CBA garage is well out of the picture as is the current Lindner Hall. The garage is not going anywhere.

I can see where you would make that observation. The color of the building, from the rendering, makes it seem similar. However, old CCM was mainly concrete, where I believe the new CBA will be mainly a glass/steel outer covering. Looks very modern and shiny, which should attract business students.

Perhaps I'm being unfair. I'm basing my initial impression on one picture that I viewed on my small cell phone screen while in a miserable and heavily-medicated post appendectomy state. But to me the new building looks like a simple institututional struture that UC would have destroyed 15 years ago.

if you scroll through the thumbnails it doesn't seem so bad

it's not hip/cool like a lot of the stuff that has been built in the past 20 years or so but its not that crap UC built in the 70's that has all been demolished either

God's golf tee. The elephant's foot. The largest single concrete pour building in history. And the ugliest building ever. With nearly no natural light.

I like Crosley Tower. It's a nice landmark. The interior is a different story.
