That sounds about right. I'm actually surprised we aren't lower. We have a ton on unknowns right now and it seems like they feel good about the changes we have made.

granted, that is the most important position, but we are stacked everywhere else.

Lost 2 biggest in starting DLs in 2nd team All CAA Alex Mosely & Xavier Gates, and 2 deeps Evans Osuji (don't know what happened to him as he was only a rSo) and DE/OLB in Ascene Jacques, who backed up Ankrah. The DL will be anchored by the pre season All American Ankrah and Simeyon Robinson is the other returning starter. 2 deep back Cornell Urquhart, and sometimes 2 deep Brandon Brown. And whoever the heck was the undersized 3rd string NT last season who was forced into some action when Robinson was suspended..So basically 1/2 the 2 deep is going to be new faces..Not saying they won't be good, but they aren't stacked...

Coach Houston has walked into a great situation.

I wish we were. Unfortunately we're not stacked at all positions. But virtually no other team is, at least not in the CAA. We'll make the playoffs.

Does anyone know what happened to Evans Osuji? Coaches were talking about him providing a leadership role in the Spring. And he did start 7 games last year, mostly at NG. We could have used the depth.

I forgot to mention him when talking about the DL, since I was looking at the Colgate 2 deep game notes and this seasons's roster, and he's not on either. According to the defensive stats he payed in 10 games, started 7 (mostly when Robinson was suspended). He didn't play the last 2 games vs VU and Colgate.

So IF Evans is gone, whom I imagine would have been a starter this season, make that 4 of last years 8 two deep DL (2 starters and 2 backups) gone (If you count the rush OLB/DE from last year as the 4th DL position)..And DL is definitely an area that you want to go 2 deep at/have 8 good players, because of all the rotation they do during games in addition to guys getting banged up. Just reinforces my point that we're not "stacked" at DL. Not saying won't be good, just have to wait and see with the new faces...

BDK, after I read your orig. post, I looked at our roster again and noticed he was not on it. He was hurt for the last two games. Don't know if he would have started w/ Robinson returning, but he'd have gotten snaps. Withers always liked him for whatever reason. He started him against Maryland in 2014 at DE. Anyway, even with him this year, I thought we were a bit thin (figuratively and literally) on the DL. Hoping the UVA guy has promise, that Martez Stone is a player and that we luck out w/ injuries.
