ND will begin live streaming content on Facebook
The University of Notre Dame Athletic Department will be live-streaming content on Facebook, the world’s largest social media network, distributing a variety of athletic content for the 2016-17 academic year.

Senior Associate Athletics Director Dan Skendzel announced earlier today.

“Distributing live original programming on Facebook connects us to a global population in a way that’s simply not possible on our own,” Skendzel said. “This allows us to meet fans where they are already consuming content and grow our fanbase through the networking effect.”

Notre Dame is one of the first in the collegiate space to live stream content on Facebook. During the upcoming year, the content distributed through the social media platform will encompass a variety of shoulder programming. Weekly press conferences by head football coach Brian Kelly, weekly football and basketball shows and the Jack Swarbrick Show will be available live to Facebook’s 1.71 billion active monthly users.
