Who left before Tubby got here is immaterial. Is he writing the season off or just can't recruit? He did lose kids he wanted to middling schools that we should hardly ever lose a kid to unless there is a special situation.

Calm down I never said tubby wasn't responsible for not getting anyone in the late period. You brought up Pastner and he IS the main reason we are in this situation. He and the powers that be that pay these ridiculous contracts. They got lucky on one and went right into another one without blinking an eye.

You have to bring them in to be able to run them off.

Just curious; what in my post indicated I wasn't calm?

The one thing that I learned from the Pastner debates on this forum is that we had too many people (myself included) willing to give the benefit of a doubt to these coaches making multiple millions of dollars.

I have learned from some of my SEC fan friends, either the coach is doing the job or not. Mark Richt got fired, freaking Les Miles was on the verge of getting canned and their records are impeccable.

Why should I pine for a Josh Pastner or any coach for that matter.

While I know Tubby is a great coach and I respect his resume to no end, bottom line is wins and losses. No excuses, no mulligans. It doesn’t matter if it is Tubby or Pastner or Buzz Marshall or whoever we bring in here

I expect to be in the tournament in year 2 or 3.
I expect to be in the Sweet 16 by year 4 or 5.

I have seen multiple turnarounds like this at lesser schools than Memphis and there are no reasons we should not expect the same.

Yeah we are in a bad spot depth wise, but there should be no excuses.
