My life and happiness does not revolve around sweaty men chasing a ball.

I am perfectly fine with tubby needing a few years to rebuild.

You were happy with Pastner for 7 years yet you took the time to attack a poster that had a different opinion.

Different coach but same ol tune

RE: Tigers' depth chart as of now
No excuse for having so few scholarship players IF this is the roster we go into the season with. There's still time but the clock is ticking.

Jimario isn't a center. The center position on the depth chart should be blank

As it stands we'll. Be G G G F F or G G F F F.

I'm disappointed so far in the lack of players and seeming lack of effort to get players for this season. This did / does not have to be a throw away season.

It's been awhile since we've had three straight years of no postseason. On the other hand tanking the first season set you up to 'improve' in years two and three with much less pressure. May be the smart business decision since most coaches get the first year as a grace period.

Exactamundo.

Young coaches want to win right away, keep ascending, etc.

Tubster ain't going nowhere.

Lives on a golf course and has $15+ million with relatively no pressure over the next 5 years.

Watch - after his contract is up he's gonna try to handoff the job to Saul too.

Book it.

RE: Tigers' depth chart as of now
I'd really like to give the guy a chance to coach before I personally speculate on, well, anything really.
For the last 7 years, we've had a guy who simply could not do the job as a coach. We don't have that now, and that's something I want to enjoy. Pastner was, over time, the punch line of a joke and Tubby is a respected guy with a national championship on his mantle. I look forward to seeing Tubby, someone of proven competence, on our sideline running the program.

Didn't Mike Davis have a similar situation at UAB a few years ago? I think he did pretty good with a small roster.

Yeah, it helped get him his next gig at Texas Southern.

Okay - let's accept for one moment that the choice is to go small.

Go get another grad transfer G/F then.

Jeebus

Heck, Pastner got two MAC bench players as grad transfers who likely will also come off the bench at GT.

Depth, depth, depth

I think Tubby has earned the benefit of the doubt...but I don't see how he's going to put a competitive team on the floor this season. We have no size whatsoever...
