AAC Media Day interviews with CTT and Deyshawn Bond. Tommy should be a psychiatrist because he has that voice that relaxes the nervous system. I love "NFL Bound" Bond.

CTT is smooth and he says all the right things. We need to see some results, of course.

Deyshawn is really smart, and it was cool to see him talking about his passion for IT. He was really nervous at first, but he did great. Cool guy.

Deyshawn seems like he'll be successful no matter what his future holds. Pretty impressive to see a tough lineman being interested in making apps, if football doesn't pan out.

I've seen him in a couple classes. He is a very smart student.

You rarely see someone who's an IT geek and a football player at the same time :-) Very impressed with Bond... Deyshawn Bond...

RE: Tommy "Wisdom"Ville
CTT is well schooled in the realm of university politics. I'm sure no one is fooled by his suggestion that he doesn't really no what's going on with UC and the Big 12. Yet, he makes that statement credible and suggests that he is focused on the upcoming football season in the AAC.

I give him high marks for this. Other coaches and administrators get way out over their skis on these issues. When events don't turn out as promised they have embarrassed themselves and their universities.

We can argue about our varying degrees of dissatisfaction with the team's performance the past three seasons but I believe his national presence and calm demeanor have been a benefit as other schools know UC has committed resources to compete at the P5 level.

Some video of practice from last week - my apologies if someone previously posted. I hope this is not foreshadowing but Coach mentioned poor tackling from the defense. Unreal. Coach mentioned he was looking at leadership as part of evaluating and naming the starter at QB...

Saw that bit about the poor tackling. I cringed and mentally adjusted my expectations for the season down a couple of wins.

I know. Based on what we've seen over the past several years it's hard not to think otherwise.

Tackling is much better. Guys like Linden Stephens were making clean tackles in open space. At least that is what I got from the scrimmages. Now the offense and quarterback play that is a different issue.
