They didn't want to let him go. Thought they tried to match the Lions, but he wanted to be a No. 1

I agree with Billy and mark. No hard feelings towards Jones, but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up regretting his decision more than the Bengals do. It's early, but Boyd is looking like he can pick up at least some of the slack along with LaFell.
