Why? Either you have or you have not had talks with the AAC; how is acknowledging that going to hurt or help?
Well, I'll just say i have strong reason to believe otherwise
So either my source is lying (they never have before), they were misinformed (possibly, but doubtful), or STF is lying. Not sure what is what anymore, that news throws a lot of what i know in a loop

Artful hairsplitting is always a viable explanation when it comes to discussing things that happen in private.
Even more artful when you don't have any hair like STF.
Oh, so I suppose you've seen him naked?

B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T.
When randyfensfanclub1 says: "If you said you did have talks, you are admitting you are turning you back on the MAC. You become the outsider. You also admit to your fans that you are trying to get out and then if nothing happens you look like an idiot and lose face. You are saying where we are at sucks, and I didn't get us out of it."
No, it doesn't mean we're turning our backs on the MAC (something NIU did once before), nor is it an admission you're looking to leave or saying where we are at sucks.
All he has to do is give the politically correct answer: "We've watched, questioned and answered discussions from parties both inside and outside of our conference. It's part of our evaluating everything NIU because we want to determine what is best for NIU. We're loyal to the MAC and the MAC has been good to us. Engaging in dialogue in no way indicates any specific desire or displeasure on our part, it's simply being proactive during a time when changes are being discussed. We're interested in any talks that could strengthen the future for Huskie athletics. Changes within or outside of our conference are important to a variety of institutions from a few different conferences. We simply want to insure that we are part of such conversations."
Not saying we're involved contradicts all the things he's said previously about positioning NIU for success in the face of conference realignment talks. Some of you say Cincy, Memphis, BYU, etc. haven't "admitted talking to the Big 12." They have acknowledged answering questions or submitting materials, which is why "we all know they have." If a Kent State, EMU, etc. doesn't have ambitions, that's their problem, as an AD, you better be talking to fellow ADs at Toledo, Buffalo, and beyond. If this isn't the case, then someone has been too caught up in other school's AD searches. Unless there's no substance to this "master plan," making some portion of it public would only help NIU's cause .... or even his own.

Quote:"Right now, we are evaluating everything NIU," Frazier said. "Other conferences having conversations, all that kind of stuff ... we are loyal to the MAC. The MAC has been good to us. We've been good to the MAC.
"What we have to do is make sure we do the things internally to keep us above the fray so when other things materialize ... I just have to make sure I'm looking at a two-, three-, five-, 10-year decision and not a quick fix.
