We play ucla in 17 and ole miss in 19.

The Ole Miss game will probably not even be played, expect a buyout.

We are not even sending our band this year, we were told that if our band went they were not going to be allowed to play during the game - ever - during any time, during anytime during any time during any second of the game. Just trying to make it clear, that is how Ole Miss had decided to treat our relationship now, they are making it very clear where they stand. Our band can come but we might as well not let them bring instruments because they are not allowed to play one note.

The game in 2019 will never occur between Memphis and Ole Miss in Memphis.

That's seems pretty strange. I mean how would they even accomplish not allowing a visiting band to play. Imagining Ole Miss officials running over waving their arms yelling "Stop that! Stop that!" Would make for a funny video!

First, they could deny tickets. Make us buy them.

Second, they could deny access to entrances. Make our band go through turnstiles. Then they alert security not to allow any instruments.

Third, they could send security to the band section and threaten expulsion if they played.

Absolutely believable if you've ever dealt with them.

The band isn't the issue, and is not driving the dropped series. It's a symptom. Putting us in our place.

Of course. This is being crappy to Memphis. Getting skull drug last year didn't sit well with their hierarchy. They would love to not play us this year. This will be the last time we play them except in a bowl game.

That's what I figured.

I say we let our band create nice chants to sing and shout...and have them go in their usual band unis.

And, of course, they should have signs to flash for National TeeVee telling the 'world' what the mighty OM did to the team that whooped their sorry asses last year.

Put the band in lawn chairs in The Grove. Let them play there the entire game.

The SEC really considers ole miss the village idiot of the conference. It is sad to watch them run the superiority bluff on some Memphis fans.

We actually do buy them, according to the ticket office.

That is why some people are absolutely freaking out at the possibility of Memphis getting an invite.

The SEC could always extend an invitation on any given day for our consideration :) ?

If that were to happen, the Memphis video team should be there to record it all and send it to EPSN/ABC. That would be great PR for Ole Miss.
