Don't your two points contradict? If they don't like paying more for additions, then why would they extend the TV contract?

It didn't know that Memphis moving up was such a scary situation for so many people. I have rarely seen tiger fans openly root against any particular team as so far as to root for their own. I've noticed Usf,Uconn fans seem to have some strange fascination in needing to put us down. People keep saying Memphis has only been good for 2yrs. Wrong,we've been to 7 bowls since 2004-5? That's not to shabby I think.

At Louisville especially in 2003 to 2004 the bullseye was on us....if you make now you will understand...

If I were the big12 I'd take a chance on a school with the potential and backing as opposed to 2 former bcs teams that after years of privileged and exposure have been floundering in a so-called lesser conference

Uconn fans are apoplectic because they are starting to realize they pissed away their shot at the p5 and they have run out of jalapeno mac and cheese.

Very perceptive. Of all the schools, UConn fans seem to be far more interested in just being insulting, condescending douche-bags. Some BYU fans certainly run a close second, but UConn fans are in a class all by themselves.

Prediction, in this order (if we ever know for sure): UM, UC, BYU, UH - all sports. And that UConn fans will be even more classless when it happens.

We get that the last thing A&M wants is the Big 12 playing games in Houston.

Although I think UCONN fans don't deserve it, I think it's going to be Memphis, Houston, Cincinnati and UCONN. I don't think the big12 is as In love with byu as they think. I also feel that the media types know this to and that's why they seem to be over hyping them in my opinion. They will get a look again though. The big12 will see the same flaws in them that they saw the last time.

That's what I think, too. I think BYU and Boise were going in, each for FB only, along with UC and UM, until Texas politics intervened.

Saying you believe your school is getting in b/c you heard something you believe isn't arrogant. It's an opinion. Not a thrust to the heart of anybody else.

Hell, I'm not saying I only heard Memphis, lol. I also heard Cincy, Houston and BYU. And Boise before Houston got a bump.

The only ones mad at me are fans of the schools I didn't hear about, lol.

And if it makes you feel better, I also heard USF and UCF were under heavy consideration. I think if they ever added 2 more, it would be you two, or at least one. JMO.

Agreed with the 4 above.

And I think the B12 is intentionally holding off on the announcement to get past media days. Figure the announcement comes the week of August 15 - just a guess though.

I think all 4 of those teams are primed for really good seasons, which will help the perception of any doubters that the B12 is adding quality football programs.

Lastly, and I know I'm being a homer, but I believe Memphis has the highest ceiling of the 4. Our current recruiting class is set to be one of (if not the) our best ever, and that's just with having the possibility of being in a P5 conference.
